Ultrapore UFE Tank & Autoclave Vent Filter (5 inch length)
The Ultrapore UFE BSP range of filter cartridges is specifically designed for applications where sterile air is required in small tanks and vessels during filling and emptying, particularly to break the vacuum formed by the condensation of steam inside autoclave chambers.
Manufactured using a naturally hydrophobic PTFE filter membrane, UFE BSP filters are resistant to wetting out in use and maintain high flow rates with low pressure drop during service. Rated at 0.01 micron in air and gas, the membrane will remove airborne bacteria, viruses and bacteriophage.
Available in 2.5 inch and 5 inch sizes, with convenient half inch BSPM threaaded connection and silicone o-ring to ensure effective sealing with no bypass. Thermally bonded construction with no resins or adhesives used during manufacture ensures wide chemical compatibility and minimal extractables. All polymer and elastomer materials used in the construction of UFE BSP filter cartridges meet the requirements for food contact use and are listed in FDA CFR Title 21. Can be repeatedly steam sterilised and hot water sanitised.
