A Proud Alumnus Giving Back

As a proud alumnus of the University of Sunderland, Dan Sullivan of ATD was excited to return to his old stomping grounds to meet a group of marketing undergraduates and their tutor.

The University of Sunderland Marketing Hub Initiative

Connecting Students and Local Businesses

The University of Sunderland Marketing Hub is a fantastic initiative designed to link marketing students with local businesses.

Mutual Benefits of Collaboration

There’s an obvious shared benefit to the work.

  • For students: They engage with real businesses, face real challenges, and gain opportunities to problem-solve, innovate, and apply their academic skills.
  • For businesses: They gain invaluable voluntary support, advice, and fresh perspectives from motivated students.

An Engaging Visit with Marketing Leaders

Dan, alongside Jon Rowley of Thrive Innovation, visited the group to discuss their products, market-specific challenges, and to answer questions posed by the students.

Upcoming Market Research and Insights

Following the session, the students will conduct market research with local businesses. They will provide these insights to the ATD team in February. We’re excited to hear the results and plan to share some of their findings soon!
